In the classification of a generic enzyme inhibitor, we have competitive inhibitors (which compete for the binding site), noncompetitive inhibitors (which I guess interfere E-S interxns but not by blocking the binding site), and uncompetitive inhibitors (which I believe impede ES --> E+P). Does anyone know of an uncompetitive protease inhibitor? -- ______________________________________________________________________________ Lou Hom >K'93 lhom@ocf.berkeley.edu http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~lhom/
