Similar to marijuana and or tobacco???!!!! This covers a lot pharmacological ground! Sure it might not be a little bit like heroin and/or caffeine and/or LSD too? I think I would want some more definate pharmacological info before ingesting such a substance! My references list it as a sedative used in Eastern European and Middle Eastern folk medicine. Unfortunately, I can't find anything more detailed than that. I sometimes see it available in local nurseries in the herb section, but I've never known anyone who has actually ingested this stuff. I haven't come accross anything suggesting it is dangerous, but I haven't come accross much suggesting it is safe or even particularly enjoyable either. Maybe if I'm feeling particularly dareing some day, I might try it. If so I'll post my results. Unless it leaves me too strung out to operate my computer and makes me hock everything to get more Lenotis leonuris! ;) > = > = Active Constituents: Unidentified resinous materials (possibly > = leonurine). > = > = Contraindications: Persistent use may lead to habituation (same > = degree as tobacco). > =
