As others pointed out, there is no easy way to determine the t.s. of
a protein. As for the structures shown by x-ray or nmr-determination its
IMHO questionable if they show the "right" structure, i.e. the structure
they would show in a cell environment. The t. s. of a protein is depending
not only on the protein itself, but also on its environment. It is IMHO
a *possible* structure that is shown by x-ray and nmr, but not necessarily
the biologically achieved structure. Can someone provided a little in
depth information ?

P.S. I crossposted this follow-up to bionet.xtallography and
sci.techniques.xtallography/spectroscopy.
