I've used both, Beckman and Fluke. I like both, but personally own a Fluke
8060A for the features. The battery life on my Fluke has been satisfactory,
more than a year per 9V. I can't complain about the LCD contrast. I use it
in audio applications, often where the ambient light is marginal, and it is
always readable. Fluke's customer service is amazing. My 8060A was damaged
in shipping two years ago. Really battered. Fluke repaired it and got it
back to me in 3 days. And the cost of repair was extremely reasonable.
