Subwoofer Crossover Design Question?

I have two good 12" woofers that I would like to make into
subwoofers. I figure one subwoofer is more than good enough.

There are two ways I would prefer: 1) Where I attach the subwoofer
to channel "A" and attach the satellite speakers to "B"; 2) Where
the subwoofer has two inputs and two outputs (one for each channel)
where the satellite speakers attach to the outputs on the
  subwoofer.

Does anyone know how to build the crossovers for either of these
  setups?

  Any help is greatly appreciated!
