To obtain:

   First, get the main address of the vendor from the Annual
   Equipment Review issue of Audio Magazine (October issue)

   Next, call Directory Assistance in that town and ask for
   the phone number of the vendor.

   Next, call the vendor and tell the operator who answers
   your call "I want to buy a service manual, would you
   please connect me to someone that can tell me how?"

   Write down the answer and do it.  Usually they cost $10
   to $25 and are mailed back promptly upon receipt of
   your check.  It is advisable to include a TYPED (or
   laserprinted :-) note explaining what you want, what
   price you were quoted on the phone, and what address
   they should send the manual to.  Remember that you are
   dealing with a big bueauracracy that is accustomed to
   shipping tens of thousands of units at a time, so
   make life simple for them by spelling out your order
   explicitly.
