OPTIMIZED WAVELET COMPRESSION AND ENHANCEMENT OF RADIOLOGICAL IMAGES

Opportunity for Graduate Studies

Students (MASc or PhD) interested in graduate studies in the field of
wavelet compression and enhancement of high-resolution radiological
images are welcome to apply to the Systems Design Engineering program at
the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada. The projects are tied
directly to an industry initiative (Easy Pax, Inc., Toronto, Canada) to
advance the state of the art in the delivery of high-resolution medical
imagery over the Internet. Interested students should have an interest
in one or more of the following fields: computer vision, image
processing, wavelet analysis, and/or pattern recognition. Funding is
available. For information about the Systems Design Engineering
program, please refer to http://sydewww.uwaterloo.ca/. Contact Dr.
Clausi directly for additional project information.
