We are in the market for a color hardcopy device for recording medical
images produced on HP 9000/7XX hardware. We have both 8 bit and 24bit
versions, and scsi is probably the interface of choice. Image
permanence is an issue, and we need to produce both paper and
transparency material.

So.... what is available out there? We've looked at the Kodak units,
but i've really got to be convinced before i spend the equivalent of
2 or 3 workstations for a printer! Has anyone used the new Tek units?
What else seems to work?
