        I'm trying to design and build a picture scanner and was wondering if
anyone could tell me where I could find some information on the actual
scanning mechanism.  If anyone has done something like this already and is
willing to share their knowledge I would be very grateful if you would email
me at

    If anyone knows of any related articles would you please tell me where I
could find them?
