Yoiu didn't specify the machine, but for Commodore Amiga there is a program
AnimMan, that is an animated head giving speaches (digitized sounds, pretty
good voice). It can reply to spoken questions (learning algorithm ?) and start
programs on request. It can also tell tales/poems.
