Hi,
I am trying to develop an image registration tool which can be
used to register remotely sensed images ( ie. geometrically align two images
of a common scene, taken from two different views and scales, so they may be
directly compared ).
The registration process will be semi-automatic, using a set of
user-defined control points, to "map" one image onto the other. The software
will be compatible with the Khoros environment and will be implemented in C
on a SUN sparcstation.
I would be extremely grateful to anybody out there who can suggest
any references, sources, papers, etc. on image registration algorithms.
So far I have only obtained information on bilinear transformations but I
like would to increase my understanding on how various Fourier Transforms may
be used in the registration process.
I am a novice to image processing, ANY information relating to
this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
James.
