In their paper "Multisensor data fusion of laser radar and forward looking infrared (FLIR) for target segmentation and enhancement", (SPIE Vol. 782, 1987) Tong et al., in discussing methods of threshold selection for segmentation, write: " ... classical estimates such as Neyman-Pearson, maximum posteriori, minimax and maximum likelihood ... ". If anyone could give me some pointers to references, hints or ideas about any of these methods of threshold selection I would be very grateful. -- | John Mashford CSIRO Division of Building, Construction and Engineering | | Post Office Box 56, Highett, Victoria, Australia 3190 | | Internet: johnm@mel.dbce.csiro.au Tel: +61 3 252 6000 Fax: +61 3 252 6244 | |_____________________________________________________________________________| -- | John Mashford Email Internet: John.Mashford@dbce.csiro.au | | Phone: +61 3 252 6115 Fax: +61 3 252 6244 | | CSIRO, DBCE, Post Office Box 56, Highett, Victoria, Australia 3190 | |_____________________________________________________________________________|
