If itd is were a scheduled talk, I'll do the preparation well. An
important of the preparation is to ensure that I know how to pronounce
every character I'm going to use, especially proper names.
It is generally quite embarrasing to mispronounce one's name. This
occurs occasionally in TV game programmes, where the hosts draw
letters from a poll of letters sent from audience, so as to determine
who is lucky enough to receive grand prizes. When the hosts have to
announce the prize recipient and the recipient happens to have a rare
character for his surname, oops! What can the hosts do? The most
acceptable strategy, IMHO, is for the hosts to apologize for their
ignorance and admit that they don't know how to pronounce the surname.
They would then give a description of the shape of that character.

Really? I'm interested.
