Damn CNN anyway for their twisting of the meaning of "factoid"!  Factoid
used to mean something that sounds like a fact, and might be presented
as a fact, but which is either unsubstantiated, or pure bullshit.
Otherwise, why not just call it a "fact" ????

[ Tangential question:  where did I hear that term before CNN
  picked it up and ruined it ? ]

But anyway,
Fact #6 - there are now exceptions to the once-regular patterns
	described in #3 ... I-238 for example, a short route
	between 880 and 580 in/near Hayward, CA.   In that case,
	the number came from its former designation as a state highway.
