OK, I overlooked this one, mainly because I drove it during non-
commute hours, and before the quake took out the Cypress Viaduct
section of 880. Most of my trips involved crossing the Bay Bridge,
and heading east towards Stockton or Walnut Creek, avoiding the older,
tighter transition ramps entirely. Not a lot of "maze" to it for
these destinations. Unless you'd exited to surface streets and were
trying to find the proper onramp to resume your travels.

Good, now I can blame all misunderstandings of traffic reports on
rookie traffic reporters who don't know the lingo.

On traffic reporters and imaginative names: I read about a traffic
jockey who used the name "Alemangly" for the 101-280 interchange
(?a takeoff on its official name) until ordered by the station manage-
ment to cease and desist. Confirmations, anyone??
