Learn how Usenet works before making foolish accusations.  Daniel did
set follow-ups; here's what they look like in my newsreader:
  Followup-To: sci.lang

This doesn't mean that his posts didn't appear in the autism group:
that's not what setting follow-ups means.  It means that a proper
newsreader will send responses only to the named groups.

Your own post included the autism group again; the charitable explanation
is that your own newsreader is broken, and ignored the follow-ups line.

The use of Followup-To is a courtesy; it suggests a newsgroup for further,
relevant discussion, sparing groups which may not be interested in the
discussion.  Either purposely or by using broken newsreaders, people
are insisting on continuing the discussion in both bit.listserv.autism 
and sci.lang.  It does seem surly, in that case, to complain about
linguistic content.
