I have a friend (female) struggling with retroperitoneal fibrosis. This is a rare disorder to begin with and even more rare in women. She has already contacted NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders) in Connecticut (she lives in the D.C. area) for information and I've done a lot of net searching for her. What she's searching for, online or not, is a support group for people with orphan and rare diseases. She accepts the fact that there probably aren't enough people in the whole USA with the disorder to make up a support group among themselves but perhaps there is one that addresses the special needs of people suffering from rare diseases. Any thoughts? -- "It has become appallingly clear that our technology has surpassed our humanity" Albert Einstein
