Do try to educate yourself in the propaganda these graphs are trying to
feed you. Look at the one above and imagine it finishing in 1987. It
would then clearly be showing a *downward* trend line in that case.
Imagine it being started off in 1998. It would be showing a flat trend
from then on. It's all in the presentation. The reality is that nothing
of significance can be deduced from the fluctuations over a piddly 30
year period, for a phenomenon as naturally chaotic as climate.
Fluctuations on such a (deliberately unrealistic and misleading) fine
scale mean nothing in terms of serious statistical treatments.

When are you going to tell them to stop having a lend of you? Or are you
an AGWer who just doesn't want to hear about reality?
