technicly you are right, we define a photon as a massless particle so
if they are massless they should be called photons. but here is where
a little reality sets in, neutrions behave much differinently than
light photons so people dont worry about the minor techincal glitch
caused by not calling them some type of photon and let photon just
be the term for light photons. it is just a question of definitions
anyway.
umm hate to tell you this, but alpha radiation is just a helium
nucleus(ie 2 nuetrons and 2 protons). alpha radiation is most
definitely
a particle and does not act like a wave in anyway. and since
when is baseballs considered radation???

the only massless particle CURRENTLY know is the light photon, no one
has been able to fully verify that neutrinos have mass. it almost
impossible to even detect one in the first place. but as soon as
someone
can measure how fast they travel we will know, until then it is not
going to be know if they are massless or just have an incrediblly low
mass.
it is hoped that neutrinos have some mass, since if they do then
the 90% of the universe that exists as dark matter will then be
known without having to resort to really weird things to explain
it.
