Hi Dirk

Well, now I've been thinking about this, and I can see that this does
happen.  The definition is not the subject (the map is not the
territory...) and may limit perception of the subject by putting up
boundaries as to what the subject may be.  If I'm understanding you
correctly, and you've actually got quite a bit packed into those two
sentences.  (If this was meant to be a joke, I'd like to see you when
you're really thinking!)  Also, changing a problem may be exactly what
is needed in order to solve it.  Being able to take a look at the
problem from a different perspective.

It made me wonder, too, if I create a problem in order to be able to
resolve it in such a way as to get to my desired solution.....
