A post-doctoral position is available immediately in a NIH-funded
laboratory that studies Inositol trisphosphate receptors ( IP3R ) and
Ca2+ signaling. Specific research projects include: 1) Molecular
mechanism of the regulation of IP3R channels by calcium and
phosphorylation; 2) Studying the early steps in the biosynthesis and
oligomerization of IP3Rs and 3) Unraveling the mechanism by which
chronic agonist stimulation of cells leads to the proteasomal
degradation of IP3Rs. Experience with basic molecular biology and cell
biology techniques is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience
and most recent NIH guidelines. Send CV and names of 3 references.
