Like Brad, I'm also nearing the end of my graduate career, so the deferment/repayment issue is also something that is rearing its ugly head. However, there is some doubt in my mind as to the definition of "fellowship" as it pertains to GSL's. The question is whether or not all postdoc positions can be considered a "fellowship" for GSL deferment purposes. Please note that my field is physics, not biological/life/health sciences. I'm not sure if the "definition" changes from one discipline to another either, so this may be relevant.
