Three postdoctoral fellow or research associate positions are
available immediately to the individuals, who have a PhD, MD or
equivalent degree. The applicants should have proven skills and
experience in cardiovascular, renal or molecular research or in animal
models. The major focus of our research projects is on the molecular
adaptation of renal cells to hypoxia, renal mechanism of hypertension,
homocysteine as a new degenerative or sclerotic factor in the kidney
and redox regulation of renal function. Several animal and cell model
systems will be used in these research projects and many
state-of-the-art techniques are available, such as cDNA microarray,
real time PCR, confocal microscopy, patch clamping, channel
reconstitution, fluorescence microscopic imaging, HPLC and Mass
spectrometry.
  
Department of Physiology at Medical College of Wisconsin is
world-renowned  department with a group of outstanding scientists in
cardiovascular research, especially in genetic and renal mechanism of
hypertension. Successful applicants will have opportunity to work with

research area.
