At least NASA is producing something, which can be sold around the world for
more than it took to make/learn it. The tax revenues thus produced go a LONG way
to paying off what NASA cost.
Welfare recipients just transfer money around, returning nothing to the
system. Can you say 'Diminishing Returns'? (^_^)

People on Welfare still eat, go out, buy things, etc. What they DON'T do is
anything to support their demand for such things. Thus, the government takes
more and more money from hard-working individuals such as you and I, and gives it
to the Welfare folks. This is not "Redistribution of Wealth", but
"Redistribution of Poverty"... people bust their butts to make something of
themselves, the government takes it away, and they have nothing to show for their
efforts.

Education can be corrected by taking Night-School courses... once they're
working and can pay the tuition. Experience comes with time - doing the job for
a while will show the average person what can be done better.
Did YOU get into your current job knowing what you do now? I think not.

No, I _don't_ want it to be funded through taxation. (Not REALLY. ^_^)
What I DO want is for the governments to lighten the regulatory load a bit,
so that it can be MADE profitable.
