    This same argument can be used to justify cutting funding to just about
anything.  I don't use hospitals much, so why should I be made to pay for so much
health care?  I don't drive, so why should I subsidize roads?  I don't have
children, so why should I have to pay school taxes?

    Some things are done, not because they are good for individuals, but because
they are good for groups.  Space programs (NASA included) are good for the entire
species.
