Computational Crystallographer ------------------------------ A postdoctoral position is available with the Shake-and-Bake research team, which is located in Western New York (home of the ACA, Buffalo Bills, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Niagara Falls, and SUNY-Buffalo). The research involves the development of direct phasing methods and their integration with macromolecular crystallographic techniques. Applicants must have significant programming experience including a working knowledge of Fortran as well as experience in macromolecular crystallography with expertise in the use of standard software packages. The Hauptman-Woodward Institute contains state-of-the-art equipment for protein production, crystallization, diffraction data collection, and computing. Additional computing power is supplied by SUNY-Buffalo's Center for Computational Research which houses a 64-processor SGI/Cray Origin 2000 and has ordered a 56-node IBM SP. Applicants should send their CV and 3 references to: Prof. Russ Miller, Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, 73 High Street, Buffalo, NY 14203-1196; Tel: 716-856-9600 Ext. 364, Fax: 716-852-6086, Email: miller@hwi.buffalo.edu.
