Dang, I knew that wasn't right when I typed it but couldn't think of the
right name. Oh well. Anyway, it's hard to believe it's been 8-9 years
since our monthly lobster trips. We quit going when it got to be too
popular. What was ironic was the local lobster fishermen were selling
most of their catch to large distributers in LA and could no longer meet
the needs of the local lobster houses. So the locals had to buy them from
those distributers. Your 'fresh' lobster was coming ashore 20 feet
from your table, taking a side trip to LA, then coming back down. The
decrease in quality when this started to happen was, shall we say,
noticable. It was about this time cars started getting broken into at the
border and Reagan started his zero tolerance crap at the border. So nobody
was willing to either leave their car at the border, nor take it into Mexico.
Thus ended a fine and long lasted tradition.
