Ken,

how on earth did you get such a cock-eyed notion? The reason that
this posting appears in all these local newsgroups is that the
original poster crossposted to *personals*, *singles* etc. Most
people are (understandably) annoyed at having their local newsgroups
bombarded in such a manner. It is hard to imagine that anyone, even
a 15 year old newbie, could be stupid enough to do this by accident.

Of course, the problem is just compounded when such postings 
blow out to all-out international flamewars which have even
less to do with the local newsgroups.

BTW, I read this posting in aus.personals. Australia is a *really*
long way from Virginia.
