I think a minor fracas known as the Civil War settled that question. If a
state constitution and the US constitution collide, the US wins. That's
what that skirmish was all about.

Of course, I would expect this Supreme Court to cheerfully uphold loyalty
oaths. Part of the general movement to forget the 60's and 70's ever
happened.
