dial (313)-577-0321 to connect to a 300-to-9600 bps modem. it connects you to the MERIT network. At the terminal prompt type in the terminal type (I use kermit with vt100). Then at the which-host prompt, type in `telnet <complete internet address>' TO get the MERIT dial-up access number in YOUR city in USA, type HELP instead of `telnet....'. Then follow instructions and choose options... I found information on how to access (atleast how to start going about this way) internet from India, using the HELP option. It gives information about ALL dial-up connections in ALL countries... BTW, dont use this number regularly. You could be trespassing detroiters property.
