That's the URL for a truly excellent series on why Sprawl is a beast on
a rampage, as it were, in the Washington DC region.
Despite the left-leaning and pro-environmentalism plaints of the local
governments, they consistently promote the building of far more office
space than housing, leading to hours long commutes, occasionally from
two states away. Yes, there are people who live in West Virginia and
Pennsylvania, who regularly commute to, or quite near to, the District
of Columbia.

often assume the appearance, and produce the effects,
of a treasonable correspondence with the public enemy.
