NeoConservatism has nothing to do with it.
Your friend was perfectly capable of competing... as are we all.
He *could* have driopped dime on the criminals.. but he took the
coward's way out.

So what you're saying is that nearly the whole community... from the
business leaders to the police, welcome the undocumented workers.

You can count me among that community.

... and so he just gave up, right?
He should have sued the cops - he woulda got rich.

Indeed! That's why you shouldn't give up after a phone call. As long
as people like you are not willing to pursue the matter, people like me
will be free to pay the undocumented workers to come here.

You can't count on the nanny state to do anything when you yourself are
not willing to do anything.

Can't close the border.
The economy can't handle it and the people don't want it, and the few
who do are not willing to pay the price.

So you're chasing an impossible dream. You can't go the direction you
want to, and you don't have the sense to change course.

You should see all the produce that's rotting in the fields right now.
You won't let them pick it, and you won't pick it yourself.

Well - belief is all fine and dandy - but it's worthless without action.

I'm a smart feller. I don't need you to confess your bigotry openly in
order to see what you are.

And there's your catch 22.
The police CANNOT respond to your complaint if you don't complain to them.

OK - I'm done with you.
