They certainly don't vote liberal or > moderate....Strictly Neocon. That's what I said - Liberals. You don't really think that the NeoCons - who keep demanding such LIBERAL expansion of government intrusiveness into private life - are really "conservative", do you? I mean - I know they *call* themselves cons, but you'd be a fool to take them at their word of honor. >>They talk about Mexicans stealing jobs - while getting $45k in a job no >>illegal could possibly sneak into. > > ?? I make about $46k with no overtime, if I work consistently. I have a > neighbor that was a non-union electrical contractor. He got out of the > business because the green carders with illegal assistants priced him out. > The green card is fair competition; the illegals are not! They are illegal. Instead of just throwing up his hands and surrendering like a Frenchman - he should have gone after the criminals... unless he was committing his own set of crimes. The police department would have been delighted to get publicity over a bust of organized crime. All you gotta do is drop a couple of dimes - one to the cops, the other to the local Fox affiliate. > They are part > of it and they earn their money. I complain about the illegality. So, how did the local cops, INS and news stations react when you called them? > Outside the law is outside the law! I say fix the broken > illegals........then ask them who their last employer. Fine that employer > the full medical expense plus $10,000. That's a good idea - just like it was a good idea when we outlawed such behaviour many, many years ago. All you gotta do is call the local cops, INS and news stations? >>The solution, of course, is not to pass new laws making it harder for them >>to get here. >>The solution is to make it easier for them to get here legally. > > If you want to vote to make it easier to get here legally, you have a vote, > I have a vote. I believe in democracy even when I'm outvoted. If you want > to allow them to come illegally, then I'm against that with one vote plus an > insistence on following our law. Allow them to come illegally? That's a contradiction of terms. They are not allowed to come illegally. It's just that folks like you and I don't call the cops on 'em. I don't call the cops because I actually appreciate what they go through to come here. Why don't you call the cops? > Well, there should be some allowed to come, but not as many as are here. And there it is. It's not just that you're opposed to *criminal* immigration. You want to limit legal immigration as well. It always takes a paragraph or few before you anti-Mexican types admit your bigotry this well.. but you always end up in the same place. > They don't "steal" jobs but they do take jobs. Illegal workforce in not > free market force....it is illegal. It violates safety laws, labor laws, > all kinds of laws. Yup - which is why we don't need any more laws. We just need folks like you to grow a backbone and report the crimes when you see them. > There is no such thing as a job Americans won't take. It is always a > question of the pay offered. I detest when so called "free market" people > talk about jobs Americans won't take. It is not true. There are jobs > offered at below market prices. CNN did a story last weekend about this. Because of global warming, we're experienceing record-setting bumper crops. The fruit-pickers are being offered upwards of $12/hr. That's like twice what min. wage is anywhere in the country. ... and according to you, it's still not enough. How far up do you think we should LIBERALLY raise the min. wage to... $20/hr? $30/hr.? > Free market says those jobs and the products should adjust > to market levels or be ignored in favor of more efficient players and their > jobs and products. You're free to stop buying fruits and vegetables any time you like.
