Both, my friend! :-)  You and I are totally equal, and loved equally
by God.  My salvation comes completely from God's grace - nothing from
my own merit.  

But the way to demonstrate the efficacy of the Bible's teachings to
one such as yourself is for me to live my life according to them, not
hit you over the head with my leather-bound King James version.

Well said, because sadly I am often wrong and often I consider the
possibility, too.  My experience though is that the word of God never
is, and faith is about transcending your realisation of your own
frailty and trusting in his love and infallibility.
