Terminally ill hospitalisations? Congratulations upon your recovery. And selectively ignore the real personal experiences related by those terminally ill who disagree with you regarding the benefits of palliative care in their particular circumstances, and have not had the experience of the person you keep referring to on the 7:30 report (as if anything can be proven by one example of success). Moreover, you seek to remove from their reach the choice to die in the way they wish, and to make their peace with their relatives and friends (and any other entities real or imagined). Effectively, given that these people could otherwise have a choice, you impose your own (minority) preference, and force these people to die in the way _you_ and others with your view decide they should. I am not sure what I would do if I found myself in the circumstances of those who have and who wish to make use of the NT legislation, but I sure don't see how I have the right to force my personal opinion upon them in this matter. -- Dave Harsant, Telstra Research Laboratories | d.harsant@trl.telstra.com.au
