I am leaning towards thinking it would : be worth the expense. Again, I'm dead serious here. You're becoming one : of the major dangers to TFN's continued existence. A while back I discussed a number of options with legal council regarding Nabil. If we went after Nabil for libel, we would almost certainly win, but so what, the TFN would be out legal costs, and as we gather Nabil has almost no assets, well, we would collect almost nothing (ie: probably not even enough to cover costs). Another option would be to get a restraining order, but I am told that such orders are VERY hard to obtain. In the view of the lawyer I was speaking to was the high amount of effort required to try and get a restraining order is not worth it, given the low chance of actually getting such an order. In other words going after Nabil at this point in time would be a waste of TFN volenteer time, and TFN money. Still, in an odd sense I do hope Nabil does go to the media with his brain dead stories (TV/radio stations, and newspapers have assets :-) . Alternately they could do a story on the shockingly bad state of mental health care in this Province, and how some basket cases are using computers unattended :-) ). Put another way, unless Nabil does something TOTALLY COMPLETELY INSANE (as opposed to his current more than slightly nuts), it would appear that Nabil is safe from legal action. Still, the above notes should do nothing to stop all of us from telling Nabil how he keeps acting like a total mindless jerk (and other less than wonderful things).
