 The Mass resignation of
 the Board of Directors
 of Toronto Freenet has
 left a vacuum of leadership
 and direction in the last
 several months. In order
 to preserve some sense of
 identity, information flow
 and purpose I have established
a mailing list and a newsletter
both on the topic of TFN.

 Some comment has been made
 that niether items have been
 approved by the Toronto Freenet.
 Well, since there is very
 little left of the Freenet
 as an organization this is
not much of an issue. I mean
who is there to approve or
 disapprove at the moment?
 Both the listserve and Zine
 are interim measures geared
 to meet immediate needs. It
is hoped that once an appropriate
 Board is elected such measures
 will be enacted formally by
 the TFN.

 I would ask all conscientious
citizens to support the TFN and
for all members to VOTE and
VOTE wisely. Thank you for your
 tolerance and forbearance.
