Are you certain your presumption was (is) the REAL reason, or is it actually 
because the owner(s) prefer(red) to have an atmosphere that could cater to a 
larger, more diverse clientele? Regardless of what a writer in California 
stated correlating non-smoking laws with increases in business, there is no 
factual evidence supporting such a claim--merely the attempted justifications 
of those who place themselves as judge and jury in forcing their values on the 
rest of society.
