 From my own experience living in SC, I saw a lingering, 
institutionalized racism.  It was so ingrained....

When I moved there from St. Louis, the white natives told me with a 
straight face and no hint of self conscience, that 'We have good n*ggers 
here'......

Not my favorite place either.
