Hmm. Isn't complaining about the cost of illegal immigration similar to the 
complaint about guns and crime? That is, get rid of the illegal aliens and 
you simultaneously get rid of the costs? While this is true, the act may be 
more damaging than the result.

Couldn't we just as easily decline to educate or treat aliens? (We'd still 
have to incarcerate some.)

Some say that thanks to illegal aliens they can now hire someone to mow 
their grass every week rather than do it themselves! And don't even start 
computing the cost of a new roof...
