If you or people you know have ever been involved in reports of child
abuse to the Texas Department of Human Services, Child Protective Services
(or DPRS) division, you know that the process can be scary, frustrating,
and infuriating. This government agency was created to protect children
and help families but, because of the way current laws are written, CPS
is free to over step it's bounds without fear of legal recourse. Parents
are not allowed to fight back when wrongs are committed.

Every twelve years agencies like these are reviewed so that changes
can be made. The time for the Texas CPS agency is now. We are
gathering cases that illustrate problems with the CPS procedures
and individual case workers. If you or parents or children you know
have been unjustly treated by CPS, your story will be important in
determining changes that need to be made to Texas laws. Please reply
