Does anyone know the origin of the name for the community
that is located just southeast of Temple, Texas --
Little River Academy
I know the river that runs through the area is called Little River.
What I don't know is what the Academy part refers to. I was
through there recently, and saw no academy or references to one.
Any other historical information on the community will be appreciated.
