cigarette smoke: besides the tars, there's radioactive phosphorous from 
the phosphate fertilizer used on tobacco. tobacco needs alot of fertilizer.

marijuana smoke: the thc open airways in the lung, unlike tobacco smoke.  
while the smoke does irritate a different part of the lung, marijuana 
smoke's damage is more easily reversible. also, since fertilizer is 
applied prior to flowering, the carcinogenic radioactive phosphorous is 
not present in marijuana smoke.

alpha particles in cigarette smoke are the 2nd largest cancer causing 
agent after the tars. if someone can get access to a geiger counter, we 
might be able to prove this.
