That's not what he said.  He said that no one has ever died from the
effects of marijuana.  That's quite different from saying there are
no negative effects.

The negative effects are slight, though, when compared to alcohol and/or
tobacco.

The biggest differences between marijuana and tobacco smoke are:

	- Tobacco contains nicotine, marijuana does not

	- Marijuana contains cannabinoids and other related chemicals,
	  tobacco does not

	- Tobacco smoke contains radioactive nuclides, marijuana smoke
	  does not

	- Although marijuana seems to be slightly more irritating to the
	  large passageways (bronchii), tobacco is much more irritating to
	  the small passageways (such as alvioli)

	- Not one study of lung cancer has found a link with marijuana smoking

	- Not one study of emphysema has found a link with marijuana smoking

	- The typical tobacco smoker ingests anywhere 10 to 200 times (or
	  more) as much smoke as do regular marijuana smokers
