Actually, I oppose Clinton's plan and would prefer a pure single-payer
system (as I suggested in the part of the message not quoted here), but
see some reform as absolutely necessary.

What I object to is the health insurance industry using the profits they
have bilked from the system to lobby to keep that same corruption.  First
they rip us off, then they use part of the money they ripped off to lobby
to keep the system in place.

Not to lose the point of the original post, call the insurance companies
that are lobbying against reform and tell them to spend their money on
health care, not strong-arm lobbying.

Call 1-800-285-4325  (or, get this, 1-800-285-HEALTH  hah!)

Waste their money.  If they spend the money fielding phone calls, they
can't spend it in gucchi gulch up on Capitol Hill.
