There was a "Millie the Model" cartoon in my childhood where it was shown that Millie could look sexy and be desirable in anything (they showed a wooden barrel). People who can be sexy and sensual can normally do that with anything. The less romantic are just more challenging ... requiring the "millie the models" of dance to accomplish it. :) Conna

Anyone interested in this topic, get the video of Carlos Saura's 1983 movie "Carmen". It is a GORGEOUS movie celebrating flamenco, and portrays the great sensuality of it. It is one of my favorite ethnic dance movies of all time, done by a true lover of it. I wonder what connection could be drawn between flamenco and tango......

Since I will soon be journeying to Spain for a short vacation, my wife pointed out an article in one of the U.S. dance magazines about flamenco dancing there and in particular in one of the clubs in Madrid. There they mentioned something called the tango flamenco, which did combine tango and flamenco. If I have a chance, I will check it out, although I have heard that there is more authentic flamenco in Sevilla. Herb Norton Glen Ellyn, IL herbnorton@lucent.com
