I'm still struggling to fix this, depsite trying all the helpfiles and
diagnostics I can find.

If it helps, I can answer a phone call which has been picked up by the
Winfax answer machine, using an ordinary telephone on the same line, and
my voice is then recirded, albeit in poor quality; incoming messages
reocrd properly.

It strikes me that perhaps Winfax is "hearing" my modem, but not the
headset, which is plugged into the soundcard - presumably, modem and
soundcard should talk to each other?

Any help realy would be appreciated (he pleaded, desperately...)
