I'm sorry, but I disagree with you, totally.

I do not consider having a bigger monitor is necessarily better.

At home, I have used a 14" monitor quite satisfactorily for years, and
then last year, when I got a new computer, I decided to go for a
15" monitor. This I thought, would be better to use not only because it
had a better spec but because it was slightly larger.

Well, immediately I got it I regreted it, as I had to sit further
away from the screen to keep things in focus. In doing so, I found I had
to reach further with my arm, in order to use my mouse, which made it a
little more uncomfortable and difficult to use.

At work, I sit in front of a 17" monitor which I find is quite large
enough. Fortunately, I have enough room behind me so that I can sit
further back still from the screen than I do at home. This even makes it
more difficult and uncomfortable to use my mouse.

If I were to use an even larger screen, I would have to sit even further
away from the screen, and then have an extendable arm to reach my
mouse.

As my eye sight had been tested very recently, to see if I needed any
glasses to help me view my screen, I passed with flying colours and
told I needed no corrective glasses.

I therefore feel that a larger screen is not neccessarily good for
normal sighted people.
