Ratios are meaningless since they take no account of customers changing activity patterns. The answer for the number of modems must always be 'sufficient' and that is our intention. Currently both the Green and Purple ROMPs have well over 1,000 lines free at the busiest time. Red has 'sufficient'. As the Cable & Wireless and COLT ROMPs are closing soon, we would advise any customers having difficulty accessing those ROMPs to change to either Green or Purple. -- Malcolm S.
