I've not hear about the US WWF's stance but with regard to the paper:

Does it not state on anywhere in the catalogue that all wood and paper
products come from sustainbly managed plantations or that the producer is a
mamber of the Forest Stewardship council?
I seem to remember seeing such a statement on the catalogues I get with my
newsletter type stuff. I also know that they are actively involved in
promoting/implementing the Forest Stewardship Council scheme.
